Phil Dmochowski provides creative, editorial and technical expertise to genre-defining audio projects.
An accomplished producer and sound designer, he is known for his playful, intuitive approach to scoring and editing in narrative contexts. From his studio in Portland, Maine, he consults on projects around the world.
For nearly two decades, Phil has worked at the forefront of radio and podcasting. His career began at the NPR program Car Talk, where he selected callers to appear on air. He would later work as a journalist at VICE, where he produced the Munchies Podcast, creating content with Ina Garten, Jacques Pépin, Anthony Bourdain and other notable figures in food & wine.
Phil developed his personal production style through a long relationship with the critically acclaimed storytelling podcast Love + Radio, where he began contributing in 2006. There, he pioneered the use of tools and techniques more commonly found in electronic music production, adapting them to radio and podcast.
